Undoubtedly with the adoption of ITILv3, or more appropriately ITSM (there are other valid and effective frameworks that support IT process and service improvement as well) smaller ITOs will also benefit from a common language and standard approach.<BR/><BR/>I think the next generation of "best practice" guidance in this area will be derived not from a library of books but through interaction with peers. This will provide real best practice (that is actually deployed and working) and allow small/med/large ITO's to interact with equivalent size organizations.
