James Spencer (no relation, I'm afraid) has refused to issue an immediate injunction to stop RIM from using its devices and service in the United States. Judge Spencer will consider imposing monetary damages against RIM very soon.
RIM appears willing to settle by boosting the amount it was willing to pay to NTP.
